9/23/2009 - You Can Build a Business (and Your Community!)

Osborn Community Matrix Center
13560 E. McNichols, Detroit
6-8 pm

On Wednesday night we were invited to the Matrix Center in the Osborn neighborhood. The event began with our featured speaker Mikel Lezamiz, who was followed by Quincy Jones, Community Liaison from the Skillman Foundation's Good Neighborhoods program. Finally Ken Gadd, Manager from the Lawrence Tech Osborn Microenterprise & Entrepreneur Program, discussed the services the program offers to people attempting to start their own business, an example of the types of community support which made Mondragon the success it is.
