Community Spotlight: Grace in Action Collectives

Grace in Action Collectives, along with four other Southwest Detroit partners, Urban Neighborhood Initiatives, Inside Southwest Detroit, Garage Cultural and the Equitable Internet Initiative Southwest Detroit, have received two million dollars from a District 13 congressional grant. These dollars will be used to complete four neighborhood-rooted capital projects in Southwest Detroit that have been in the planning stages for the past five years. They also will be used to expand access to neighborhood based, low cost and high-speed internet in southwest Detroit.

Friend to C2BE and Director of Grace in Action Collectives Megan Sobocienski says, "This is an incredible opportunity to build on projects that we have all been dreaming about for years. We are grateful to Representative Congresswoman Rashida Talib for all that she is doing to invest in community driven processes."
